Default Interior Lights Don't Always Turn Off

Has anyone had the problem of the interior lights not "dimming out" on a TTQR? I've had a couple of incidents when the lights simply refused to go out and I had to switch them off manually. Once I stopped the car, I exited and locked via the remote. At this point, the lights went out. Thoughts?

Default If you have this problem try to un/lock the doors... won't happen.

If this is the same as mine, then you won't be able to lock/unlock the doors. This is a safety issue for me. I haven't had the problem crop up again since the first month of ownership.

With the problem, drive immediately to your nearest dealer and get them to witness it and log it in the computers.

Default Our car suffers from this bug too. I've narrowed it down to....

opening the passenger door with the engine running. The passenger jumps in, we take off, and the light does not go out. A quick fix is to stop the car, remove the key, using the fob lock/unlock car, and then start car and drive on. Or just give up and turn the switch off.

I mentioned this to the service writer for our 5k service and he said he'd never heard of it though it seems to plague a lot of cars here on the forum.

Some think it is a grounding problem with the "central locking unit" or something like that. Supposedly the Audi Tech line can help a service tech with advice to fix it.

It hasn't bugged me enough to press the issue with my dealer.

I've got it too. If my car was a taxi it would be a big issue.

Default It is already documented and their is a fix at AoA . . .

Craig, this was fixed months ago. Don't ask, but TELL your dealer to contact Audi Tech and they will give them the proper 5 minute repair.

Default Now if only my dealer could have found that documented fix when they called AoA...

Didn't work for me. I'll try again though. I have some ammo since the last time I took the car in they said they fixed something even though they hadn't. I'll use that as leverage to get that problem fixed and this one as well.
