Default jerky ride.

I replaced the dogbone mount in my car, but still when I shift the car jerks when I put it into the next gear. Obviously this is very much dependant on how I drive, but even when I'm trying to shift smoothly, its rougher than I would usually expect.

I have a brand new clutch, I'm kindof thinking there is something that isn't tight. There isn't any clunking really, it just feels like everything is floating and blobbing around.

Is there any other stuff I should try??

I've driven 20th anniversary GTI's and they use the same 6 speed transmission, they feel 100% different than my car, the car feels like butter shifting between gears and there is no rocking movement whatsoever.

I'd really like to cure this problem. The dogbone mount seemed to do a little, but not as much as I had hoped.

Help.

Default When you say you replaced the mount, did you change the bushing or go with the VF mounts?

If you did go with the VF, you should replace all three motor mounts not just the dogbone. STFA there have been a couple of threads on this.
