Default NSX wax test

I thought this might interest some --- several waxes tested on a (hopefully) spare NSX hood. You have to appreciate the objectivity of the author, whose $144 (!) Zymol NSX Glaze lost to Zaino and less expensive Zymol products.

http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html</a

Default Keep in mind that japanese cars (in general) use a chemically different clearcoat/paint mix than..

european, especially German, cars. I've always been told that a very high carnuba base works better on VAG paint, while a more synthetic wax brings out Honda paint. All in general, of course.

Default Hasn't changed my mind a bit. I'll still use Zymol. It's too subjective, and it's

only 2 people's OPINIONS, for christ sakes. To say you're going to use Zaino because of this test is the same as going to see a movie just because the critic liked it.

Of course, that's just my opinion :-)

Default Well that's just the kind of blinkered, philistine pig-ignorance I'd expect from you...

....you whining hypocritical toadie :-) etc etc. And I'll continue to use Pinnacle, although I enjoyed reading the post.

Default Two people? What were you reading?

I agree that this test should not make everyone a Zaino believer, but it looks like more than two people participated! And I definitely appreciate the fact that they took the time to do this test.
Will you spend your time to prove that Zymol is better?

"Round two: Over the course of 4 weeks, people stopped by and looked at the hood, touched it, and gave us an opinion. They were not told which products were used on the sections. The voting was as follows:
1.) Zaino Z-2 Show Car Polish (70%)
2.) Zymol Natural Liquid Auto Polish (20%)
3.) Meguiar's Liquid Clear Coat Car Wax (6%)
4.) Zymol NSX Glaze (2%)
5.) No wax (2%)"
It looks like he had at least 50 people participate, in order to get the 2% rating on #4 and #5. Assuming 50 people participated, 35 chose Zaino, 10 chose Zymol, etc...
