Default Question from newbie about 225TTC options tia!

I have 2 questions really. First the Premium Package. It says that it includes 17" wheels. But doesn't the 225 already have 17's std? I definitely want heated seats and xenons, so I'm stuck with the Premium Pack correct?

Second, the phone: what type of phone is it? Manufacturer? CDMA, TDMA? Does it come out of the car?

Thanks!!

Default Phone`

If the Audi phone has not changed, it is an Analog phone! Not digital (CDMA, TDMA nor GSM). People have linked their digital phones to the systems though. Hope this helps

Default Re: Phone. Save your money...

I just picked up the new StarTac tri-mode digital. It has a web browser, a 400 number phone directory, a much longer life battery, a new indiglo display, and can work with analog, digital, or PCS. This phone is portable (unlike the Audi phone), weighs 3.8 ounces, and is state-of-the-art. Save your money and pass on this overpriced and outdated phone.

Default 17" Wheels

2001 TT's come with 17", 6-spoke, CAST alloy wheels standard. The premium pkg comes with 17", 5-spoke, FORGED alloy wheels. I believe the main benefit is that forged wheels are stronger than cast ones. But I'm no car expert, so I don't know how much of a difference it makes.

Default RE: Phone

If you want a non-removable, looks like something out of the bag-phone era analog cell phone, this one is for you.

I second Brad's StarTac comment. I've got the digital PCS Black startack with the indiglo display, great battery life and great phone.
Tom Boucher
