This is on a 225 Quattro. When the car gets very hot after being stuck in traffic the revs sometimes 'stick' - have to blip the throttle to get them to drop back down again. Popped the car into neutral and the same thing... rev to 4000rpm and they stick at about 1500-2000rpm until i blip again.
Thanks for any help.

Maybe you need to do a tb adaptation or reset the ecu? Unplug the battery or ecu for about 15 min
After you plug back in, leave hood open and driver door open, turn key to ON position. You will hear the tb adapting, and the ecu will have reset.

Gday Gary. Thnx for the response - yeah tried the TBA yesterday... need to drive
it for an hour or so in traffic to be sure its OK now. Will try the ecu reset also if the throttle adaptation doesnt do it. Hate having to bring it in to the dealer.
Thinking it may have something to do with my rev matching all the time. Hoping its not a dodgy vacuum leak somewhere.
Someone here surely has had the same symptom.
