TT Vandalized - Antenna Snapped Off
Today, I leave work after being there 14 hours and find that the antenna has been snapped off. It appears that it was snapped from back towards the front, because there appears to be a slight bit of dent to the roof just to the front of the antenna.
Has this happened to anyone here?
If so, what is cost to replace?
Thanks, John

Hasn't happened to me, but I believe it is a $40 part . . .
I remember this thread on VW Vortex about them . . .<ul><li><a href="http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=251289">VW Vortex</a></li></ul>

Re: TT Vandalized - Antenna Snapped Off
I accidentally removed mine when I was using my arm to remove snow from the roof. It does look slick without! I'll never use that antenna for the cell phone anyway.
However, to repair the antennae will cost $300 according to the dealer. They have to stamp the connector from the inside..
I'll probably just keep the rubber cap covering the metal joint, and leave off the screw-in antennae. I have noticed that I get more static that usual now, but I can
deal with it.

Sorry to hear about the dent...
My antenna was torn off at my selling dealer while awaiting delivery (they lost about six on TTs one night).
Luckily it was very easy to replace and took no time at all...

Same happened to me - ordered new one from clairparts.com for ~$100. Relatively easy to replace - it depends on where it broke off. Mine was a little more tricky as it broke off at mount in roof and mount had dropped into roof. Needed needlenose to grab and put back into position.
