Am I too old for a TT?

Am I too old for a TT?
My wife drives an 08 A6 4.2 sport which I originally bought for myself. After I drove it for a week or so I decided it was a great car I decided i really wanted a smaller sportier vehicle.
I have a 3.2 coupe on order which was released to the carrier on Thursday, so should be to my NJ dealer any day now. After reading many of the posts here regarding "chipping" racing, and "modding," I am wondering whether at 54 I am too old for this car. Is a toy, or is it a serious car, and if so is there anyone else on this forum who is older than 40 or so?
Thanks, I'd love everyone's feedback.

The car is a lot fun, once you stop having fun; yes you are to old...
So ask your self, do you want to have fun or do you want to be "too old" ?
As far as modifying goes, lot's of people on AW have cars and never mod them. I have owned 7 Audi's and have never modified one of them, this will be the first.
Go for it, you only live once, I'm 34 and I learned that lesson a long time ago, I was seriously sick and since then I will never be "too old" for anything in life; if I'm walking and sane I'm never to old to have fun or try something new. Because in my life the next time I go to the doctor I could be sick again and the fun could be over quickly so, I"ll enjoy every minute I can.

I can always cancel
I purchased the A5 less than two weeks ago, so they would deal with it.
After a lot of reading, and driving one, I am sure I will enjoy it. It sort of reminds me of a boxster I had except somewhat more civilized.

I teach college
I am sure I will be the envy of all my students.
Thanks all for helping me feel better about the car-and perhaps my age. I still feel like I am in my 20's and am having a difficult time coming to terms with growing older.
