intentionally messing up my spoiler's position
ok so I am not a big fan of the spoiler's position, it does look better when it's up, but not when it's all the way up. It can be manually lowered so that it sits about 1 inch out of the trunk, but it goes right back to its default position when the car is turned off. Would the car issue any warning lights or errors if I place a piece of plastic or something to prevent the spoiler from going all the way down/hiding in the trunk? Or would the spoiler recognize that something is there and just go all the way back up again?

Sounds like a good way to burn out the motor(s) that control it. Two ideas come to mind that might work. Position the spoiler where you want it, then with the car still running, disconnect the power supply to it. Might trigger a light though. Not sure. Second option is vag-com. You may be able to code it. Hope that helps.

Your automatic spoiler is more about function, not for looks. Audi recommends, or more likely requires, that either the fixed wing or the automatic spoiler is in use at speeds over 85mph. If you try to mess with the position of the automatic spoiler, you will certainly reduce it's efficiency, and probably break something in the process.

yeah I think vag-com may be the way to go.
I realize that it's about creating drag at very high speeds (like on the autobahn) to prevent over-steer, that's not an issue for me since I do not excessively speed, never had a speeding ticket in my 20+ years of driving
