We always new this was coming..... Our cars were marked for replacement bags, but because they were so much newer than so many of the older cars in the recall our cars got placed on "hold" while they tried to replaced the bags in cars deemed far more likely to have the issue from absorbing moisture as they age. I just can't fathom the amount of money being spent on all of this. I find it odd that my car has a leather wrapped air bag cover, but it costs the same as the standard plastic one in the parts catalogue. I'll probably have to wait a bazillion years to get a leather one to arrive, but likely I won't have the car at that time.

When I plug my vin into Audi's recall checker, it still says there are none for my car.

It says on Audi's site that there's an "anticipated" airbag recall for MY16 TT.

I don't think it's for all TT's... somebody told me just 2016 and 2017 are affected.

Mine was done late last year here in Australia, 2015 (MY16). The government here will not allow you to renew your car registration unless you comply with the recall. Which is fair enough.
