Programming key

I replaced the battery in my spare key and it still does not work. I know there is a place to put the key for programming in the slot behind the cup holder, but I cannot find any where on the manual or online how to program the key? Any advice or links? I really don’t want to pay the dealer for this. Thanks

you can't re-programming your key, only Audi dealers can do that
but as far as I know, a FOB with a drained battery (or no battery at all) does not loose its code...

Just in case you do have to pay the dealer, believe its a 30 min job normally, though I am sure they charge min of a shop hour for time.

Maybe try another battery, never seen a fob drop programming due to a battery swap.

My TT uses a CR2032 but my wife's Benz a CR2025 Make sure you're using the correct battery for the fob. I too have never lost programming due to a [proper] battery replacement.
