Default and I think the D3s were targeted for lower profile wheels
I'm running them on my RS in OEM size 255/35/19 if and when winter gets here.

and why would snows be bad in that size. Side wall is not a issue and might provide better results on ice

No 18's will fit. But we are so arid here and I don't ski - that the roads are clear 98% of the time
