can you use liquid aviation gasket in place of the traditional card type?

Personally..I would use the gaskets. Not much luck with gasket sealers going solo. The exception would be Permatex "The Right Stuff" which works well on metal to metal bonding. My first choice would always be the original gasket material though.

i like to use gasgacinch, pre coat the paper gasket and the metal surface, give it 10-15 min, and torque down your parts
