Looks like my front right door latch assembly needs to be replaced. I know how to take the door panel off but need help in removing the latch assembly. Please help if you have it available.

Fyi- stealer wants $350 for labor plus the part at $372. Door panels comes off in 3 minutes now that I know how to remove it.

Online dealers sells for $270ish.

Removing and installing power latching system

Hi put3namo,

Thank you but i believe what you posted is the power latch that pulls the door in when its patially closed. I believe this option was only available on the A8 in the US. The part that I need to replace is the door latch itself. The part that hooks the door onto the B pillar.

Thank you put3namo. The guide say to remove the window regulator assembly. I hate to be a pain but do you happen to have the instructions for the window regulator?

Disconnect battery before removing window frame or door.

but may need to dis-engage the operating rod -3- from door lock -hope it helps >>> enjoy the weekend!!!
