Engine Timing Problem

I started doing the cam chain tensioner replacement without locking cams and timing belt at TDC. Everything is now not timed correctly. My question is if I get the crank back to TDC, and also get the notches on the can shafts aligned with the arrows on the cam caps will this bring everything back to the proper alignment. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
