Cruise control failed - DBW - no VAG codes
OK - I think I'm resolved to hunting for a vacuum leak. I pulled VAG codes and have no codes, so I'm assuming that the cruise components are fine.
I've searched the forum and only find Non DBW cars and APR chip info. So I'm looking for a diagram of where the actual cruise components are and where the vacuum lines run. I just need to know where to start guys.
thanks,

Re: Cruise control failed - DBW - no VAG codes
When mine had this problem, Rusnak Pasadena went the extra mile (literally!) to figure it out.
Basically the cruise would just disengage randomly when I was driving. ('98 A4 2.8qms)
Anyway...
They replaced the switch first. That did not fix it. They replaced the switch again. That still dod not fix it.
Johnny, my service writer, suggested that they could have their tech take the car home and back to work again in the morning, to see if he could encounter this intermittent problem. So, he managed to duplicate it, and after still more diagnosis, they found a bad cruise computer and bad vacuum hose.
Did I mention Audi Assured warranty rules? $50 out of pocket for all that work, on a used car with over 80k miles on it??
Thumbs up to Rusnak Pasadena and Johnny Borja for fixing this very irritating problem.

was it acting up before? If not, I may have the fix, simple kinda but
just shoot me an email so I can explain the whole situation. Mine was the connection between the throttle body and vacuum diaphram.
