I've owned a 96 A4 for about 2 months now. It's by far the best car I've ever owned. I changed the oil about 2,600 miles back with Castrol synthetic. Today I see a flashing "oil" in the miles area when I start the car. After a few blinks it goes away. I'm assuming this is telling me to get it changed. Should the oil be ready to be changed so soon?? It has been pretty hot lately. +90 degrees. Anyone have some advice

I sorta jumped the gun. I checked the owners manual and it turns out to be a heads up that a change is due soon
