emissions
I recently got a full straight pipe 2.5 exhaust from the turbo down...no cat on my '99 1.8t the problem is that now I have to get emissions...is there anything I can do to pass the damn test (my check engine light is on obviously 'cause of no cat)

Re: mm... my 2 cents..
from what i've heard.. with a modified setup like you've just described.. there is no way around passing that test.. unless you pay em off.
i've heard of people having hook ups with people who will just pass you if you pay em.. but i think that's illegal?
anyways.. i know puttin the stock one back on may be inconvenient, but frankly, i think that's what may need to happen.
g'luck with whatever you choose.

Wrong
I know a few people running test pipes that passed emissions in IL. They check by pulling the readiness codes from obd2 rather than a sniff test. If the codes are clean, you pass.
