Wow, he must have been a real azz to get an apology letter. What was your engine problem?

I have a few questions about that...

Did they have to tear his engine down to find it?

Did they attempt to repair it or just give him a new car?

How many miles did he have when it happened?

I have a few answers for you...

1) Yes they completely tore down his engine and had the regional audi rep come take a look at what was wrong with his car.

2) There were many attempts to fix it. Everytime the car was in for repair, they would give him a loaner.

3) He owned the car for 60 days, 36 days of which where in the shop. He purchased the car brand new and the Audi lemon'd the car before he even hit 5,000 miles.

Rob, I would not worry much about the situation you are in......

It does not matter which brand of car you buy, sometimes unfortunately you get a brand new car with a construction defect, which is most likely what happenned to your car. I am sure Audi will fix it for you. They may have to give you a new engine if they feel the problem is severe enough.

You expressed exactly how I feel. I am confident that they will either fix it properly or give me a new engine. Either way I am not to worried.

OT. I have not made it over to MTM yet. We delayed our trip due to numerous reasons. Once I get my car back I am really considering going to MTM/Ingolstadt and getting a chip and clutch installed from them. I will for sure ask the questions we discussed and be in touch. I still have your email in my inbox.
