Learning about my new car...

Does the 2003 A4 3.0 Quattro have defog feature on the side view mirrors? According to AOA's website it says the 03's have them, but I don't recall seeing any button for them.

Are the side mirrors also suppose to tilt down when shifted into reverse?

The side view mirrors are heated... the function automatic

there is no switch

I thought they came on when the rear defroster was turned on, but I'm not 100% sure.

And I think it also depends on the outside temperature but not sure...I think all the info is

in the owner's manual...

So how do they turn on?

I turned on my rear defroster this morning, but nothing happened with the outside mirrors.

yes, my passenger side view mirror tilts down when shifted to reverse

Atleast in my manual transmission it does, can't speak to any of the other trannys out there.

Do you have a 3.0 with premium package?

If so, it should. You have to set the mirror adjustment **** to the right mirror position for it to work. With the **** in the right mirror position, the mirror should tilt down when you put the car in reverse.
