Hi,
I am located in Montreal and am currently driving a BMW 540, but as winter approaches, I would like to go quattro!
I would like a 3.0 A4 wagon, what year did they come out and what should I look for or stay away from?
I have seen a few Allroads available for a decent price... 26k Canadian for 2001... but I am a little scared of $$$ repairs. So my question there is how are the 2.7t engines?
I have spent a lot maintaining my BMW and am a little sick of it! Should I consider these at all?!!!
I LOVE the look of the wagon A4 and Allroad, and I need a super safe car with as many air bags as possible, these do have side curtains correct?

This forum is for the third generation A4 (B7) which now uses the 3.2L engine.

The 3.0L came out with the B6 A4 which has now been replaced with the 3.2L in the B7. There are a handful of B6 A4 avants I see running around Toronto. I think side curtain is standard in all years of the B6. 2.7Ts are reliable if maintained well though if abused, turbos will probably be the first thing to go.
