Hello Guys, I really need your help. I own an 03 Audi a4 Convertible. And although the Soft Top functions properly, I still see a "Soft Top Not Secured" error code light and sound on the dashboard. I believe the problem first started when I drove over a pothole at a fast speed. And although the Soft Top opens and closes fine, I did try to fix the problem by manually opening and closing the Soft Top- something a number of participants on this forum think fixes a wide range of Soft Top malfunctions. Unfortunately, the manual open/close did not solve the problem. Also, I'm not even sure if I'm doing the manual Soft Top reset accurately. Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions on how to address this problem. Funny things is, if not for that annoying red flashing light and, especially, the loud peeping sound that accompanies it, I would have thought there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car because

1. The Soft Top does not let any wind or rain in when closed (I even tried going through a car wash),7 and

2. I can electronically open and close the Soft Top just fine.

Please help me get rid of this problem once and for all.

Hmm, have you run a vagcom and checked to see if there are any codes stored for the top.
I'm guessing but there must be a solenoid that is not recording properly.
