2009 A4 cabrio trunk wont open
Door switch = nope. Key fob = nope. Key = nope. Seats dont fold down. There is a small cushion between back seats that removes and has a nylon bag for storing long items in trunk. I'm thinking of razor blading that off, just to have trunk access. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. I assume the actuator for the lock is on its way out but its odd the switch doesn't work and the key doesnt work.
Any help?
I'm new - I apologize if I've stepped over forum bounds with something that has already been posted. I've searched high and low and it seems like every post and video the key manually works. My key inserts in keyhole and twists but it doesn't release the trunk.
Thanks !

Did you find out what was happening?
Would a dealer perhaps have a way to override your fob? It sounds like the code signaling "open" is gone.
As one who has had to split open the ski pass bag, I can tell you you won't see much in there. I accidentally closed my keys inside the trunk once- no problem; I'll use the door release btn. CRUD! It's busted again! Since I knew my keys were in there, I made a small slit w/ a Swiss Army knife, then got a long metal tool to fish out the key ring. Wasn't easy!
