Yep mine too, go up to the Resource tab and click into Tech Articles where I believe the original source is with pictures or you can go here https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec96.shtml "same place"

If you go to laasby's profile and dig through his album
you can go between the album and read along. Kind of a pain but works. Thanks for the post on this.

That said, I found the complete latch assembly (including the switch) for $33, including shipping. My time to disassemble and solder is worth more than $33.

Door lock mechanism - small white rubber block
I removed the door lock and separated the mechanical from electrical part.
Generously soaked in WD40.
Used compressed air to blow out dissolved grease, dirt, rust.
But also a small (3mm) white rubber block.
I haven't found it on any posted photos.
Can someone tell where that small block belongs?
After respray with WD40 and some more soaking time, I plan to put white lithium grease on liberally, hope that fixes my symptoms (on both front doors):
If not closed very lightly with the right amount of speed force (very little force), the door does not latch in the all closed position (but only in the first catch).
It appears that internal friction requires a longer than normal time interval for the latches to move and engage. When closed to hard/fast, it does not catch and just 'bounces back'.

save yourself the hasssle and get a whole replacement assembly for 40 bucks or so off ebay .. brand new from china .. mine works great .. if your in minnesota you know its gonna work fine till it hits -20C then youd be wishing you had changed it .. coz then you cant get your door to close and will be doing it in the cold.
