Default The FUSE error

Other Audi models have had this error including the A6, it means low power to the cluster.

I have read this was caused by a bad power feed anywhere from a bad alternator regulator, ground connection or power connection to the two fuses for the cluster or an open fuse

Yes, you are correct.

It is no power going to the cluster for the Voltage/alt warning/gauges.

though the voltage is at the required 13.8-14.8Volts at the alt and wiring..

Again, there must be a short somewhere this is the info I am looking for.. The fuse doesn't blow right away.. It takes 10-15 seconds this tells me that there is a relay somewhere that has a bad power feed coming off of it.. Thus the blown fuse.

Was hoping someone would have dealt with this problem and knew of the quick fix vs tearing into it.

Default Fuse shows in instrument panel and 10amp fuse blows right away

I am having this issue. The 10 amp fuse blows instantly when replaced. Assuming a ground issue, but hoping for more info.....

Was same problem and was Fuse 14 was blown which is one of the instrument cluster fuses. Seemed like a pretty drastic warning for such a simple issue but there it is. Replaced it and everything is back to normal
