Question on MMI software version in 2005 A6 3.2
#11
your version is NOT up-to-date. You are running 11.9.
There are FAR newer MMI versions available to you. Go get yours from : http://genuineaudiparts.com/
And be aware these are CD updates, not the same as DVD nav updates.
Lastly, I believe the latest version is 46.10, which is part #4F0-998-961

I was curious as well, since my info didn't seem to match the previous threads and words of wisdom I had read:
SW: C6-HU 6360 11.9.0 0513
HW: C6-HU 6360D2.0
FC SW: 04144AFC6AB320010
FC PS: 0010 FC HW:H07
I know we can stand to update our Nav DVD. But I have no idea if the system in our '06 A6 4.2 Q is up to date or not?

Wow, the other thread warns of attempting to upgrade to the current revision from anything less than revision 27.5
At 11.9, I wonder if I should even bother trying…for fear of bricking a system that works fine right now?
Or, do I take to the dealer and ask them to install the updates?

all that means is that you'll need 2 update disc
it will take longer for you to update but I doubt there would be much issue. If you are really paranoid about the issue, then go to the dealer. however, the 'bricking' often occurs due to batter drain or other 3rd party issues not as a direct result of the upgrade.
Also, do a search on the forum re: 'MMI update', since I've read where people had successfully upgraded directly from an older version. such as this: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho...0&postcount=15
Here is a link to a TSB for updating MMI:

good luck and leverage the search function on the forum, since there's lots of good DIY info...also feel free to add your own

If you do not run the #1 disc, and there is a mismatch and just run the 46.10 update, the BT module will be bricked for good.
