New to the forum! I'm in the final stages of ordering an A7 for ED and the hold up for the last week or so has been clarity on the front license plate mounting for driving while in Germany. I live in a state (MI) that does not require a front license plate and I really do not want one. I've been informed by AudiUSA ED department that the car will ship to the US with the front license grill. The dealer can not give me a clear cost or estimate on what it will cost to have the car's grill swapped back to no license plate. Anyone here have any experience in this. Thanks.

My A7 came with the front plate mount and i removed it very easily by simply taking out the four screws. You would not notice that it was there if you did not look very closely. I would not imagine yours would be any different and therefore would not worry about it at all.

but the grill without the plate is way nicer, that is what he meant, the lines are continuos, I didn't know the European delivery had that problem, that you have to drive it with the front license plate.
