Default Engine won't start - Could use a little input.

Drove my car today to my wife's parent's house. The car ran fine. Went to leave and the car wouldn't start. It cranks like a champ but just doesn't fire up. No CEL on. No codes came up. Checked fuel pump fuse. I was fine, but replaced anyway. No luck. A couple times it seemed like it was about to catch but nothing.

My first guess is the fuel pump/filter/relay.

If my memory serves me well, I believe there is a distinct sound of the fuel pump coming on when the key is on. I don't think I'm hearing that sound now. I hear a couple clicks and buzzing but it seems to be coming from th HVAC. All sounds are the same when I turn the key regardless of whether I have the fuel pump fuse in or not.

The car has 145K on it and I replaced the fuel filter at 115K but it was just preventative maintenance. Thanks.

Default The pump is located right under the gas tank sending unit cover....right?

If that's right, then I don't hear anything. Does that necessarily mean the pump is bad?

Default there are some pics of the fuel pump unit in my pic poster.check your relay first

It can be a bitch to replace.
Make sure the tech follows the manual instruction to the absolute letter throughout.
I also believe that a cheaper option is to replace the actual pump itself [inside the big plastic unit] with ba V8 Nissan Bosch pump.
Probably the same part.

Default A couple more questions...

1. I am a little confused about where you said the pump was. If I am looking into my trunk at the two covers under the floor board, is it under the driver or passenger cover?

2. What year and model Nissan vehicle is that for?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry but one more idea came up. Would a fault code come up if the relay was bad?
