Default You have to leave bluetooth power on to have it auto pair...

but this will kill your battery in no time.

Default thanks but that stinks

you have to fiddle with it everytime. So let me get this straight, if you go into a store for an hour and you leave the phone in the car, , the car battery is working more but the phone remains paired. If you take the phone with you you will need to reestablish the bluetooth connection ewhen you return . Right ??

Default No your phone battery life will be greatly reduced...

When you do the initial pair with the car it stores the device (AudiUHVxxxx) as an automatic pair. But unless you have bluetooth set to be on all the time on your phone, you will have to do a quick pair from the phone after you set the car (what I do with the C6). It doesn't take very long to pair it imo.

Default Yes, when Bluetooth is "on" all the time battery life is greatly reduced

I keep all my contacts on my Palm T3 and sometimes I use it to dial my V515 while it's in the cradle in the car on road trips.

If I leave the bluetooth on after I'm out of the car, the battery pretty much goes dead after 12-18 hours. Otherwise it lasts for days.

Default Default setting is to unpair and turn off BT when you turn the car off...

easiest way to reconnect w/o leaving bluetooth on all the ime on the phone is: menu, settings, connection, bluetooth link, handsfree, AudiUHVxxxx -> connect.

Otherwise if you want to leave BT active all the time on your phone and have it automatically connect: menu, connection, bluetooth link, setup, power ON.

Default If this is unacceptable to you, get a phone that has a supported Audi cradle.

If you have a cradle, when you put our phone into the cradle there is no battery drain (in fact it charges your phone) and it is no longer using Bluetooth. It switches to the Car profile which uses the cradle to connect with the phone. You just have to remember to fetch your phone out of the cradle when you get to your destination (it is easy to forget since it is hiding under the armrests).
