Default need to locate fuse that sends power to left trunk fuse panel

Audi looked at the car and said the fuse blew that sends power to left trunk fuse panel. They said it's a 60amp fuse and located in the right side of the trunk but I can't find it so save my life, HELLPPP!!

Bigger question; what caused a 60A fuse to blow? That's potentially a serious electrical issue that you should get to the bottom of before replacing the fuse.

I have a habit of being clumsy so when my MMI stopped working and I herd clicking in the drunk (sounds like under the bose speaker) I went to search it down and came to the fuse panel in the left side of the trunk, while removing the two gen mm bulbs I touched the fuse panel positive to something and it blew a fuse somewhere, then after reading up on it I found out there's a fuse 60a that sends power over to the left fuse panel. Took it to the Audi dealer because I couldn't figure out where the fuse 60a and to have them check why my MMI stopped working and that clicking sound in the trunk was going off for.

So they said my radio module is bad (trunk left side is the location) and they said I blew that fuse 60a out but ones again I wanted to do my own work and they didn't clarify where exactly that fuse is.

I looked at that fuse description earlier but still could not find that fuse, unless it's hiding behind something.

Hiding in plain sight? When they get to be that size, IIRC it's a fusible link--look for a piece of metal now burned apart) between two nuts bolted down--what the diagram is probably shown. Not the smaller plastic pull out fuses in the long columns.

once you said you herd clicking noise from the back, and that the MMI stop working, I had the SAME problem in the past. most likely its the Bose amplifier that is bad.( its common ). a new one is 1400$, there is a company in California , they fix it for 300$ +- , or you can get a used one from eBay for 200$ ( the 1 one I got was no good, got back my money, the 2 one was perfect ) good luck

This is NOT a picture of an A8. But it is an example of what Audi fusible links look like.

As the Duke has posted, it looks like that.

Open the right hand battery cover and just above the battery is a black plastic box, there is a cover on it once open looks like the thing in duke's photo.

I blew mine messing around with the fuse panel as you did, lo big problem but you may find they don't have one in stock.
