The driver was already replaced 8 or 9 days ago, just before I got into town to take possession of the car. I had arrived and in the day it took me to get plates on it, I had it in lift and jack mode to test the used strut that was installed, but to my surprise, the passenger side lost height! That's when I ordered the strut, but it seems to be progressing faster than the new(preowned) strut can get here.
Yes definite risk to compressor if it has a leak and is dropping. Overworks compressor. If minor may get by, like a drive home and such. If it drops all the way down in less than a day, intuitively that feels to me like it will get overworked if driven repeatedly, but just a WAG on how much is too much. I would park it pending part if you have another vehicle choice.

Interestingly, the car has been parked a couple days now, and the whole car is bottomed out, except the corner with the recently replaced strut. It's on pretty level ground, with the passenger side the smallest bit lower than the driver's.

Took the car to the shop yesterday after attempting to get the old strut off, it's too stuck on there and it's really cold to do the work outside here in Michigan. For the $100 the shop would charge, it's worth the saved aggravation if nothing else. In the 15 minute drive, the car lifted itself all back up without issue, but the green suspension light popped on twice. So the compressor is still doing just fine and operating quietly, so I would guess I avoided any damage to it, so that's nice.

I have a question regarding the yellow light, mine comes on intermittently, sometimes it's every 2-3 days, sometimes 2-3 times within one journey...
If i turn the car off and back on again, it goes away...
The car doesn't seem to drive any different when the light comes on, all the suspension modes work as they should including lift mode and I don't notice the ride height changing...
Any ideas why this might be...?? Photos are of the car after its been sat running for 5 minutes, I know it's a little hard to tell but looks pretty level all round to me, there's no unusual noise or anything I've noticed even when the yellow light comes on...

As a note to the above, the green light has come on once or twice at the same time as well but same gone away when the car is turned off and on again...
