Hello, I am looking to buy a 2011 A8, there are two engine type 3.0T (V6) and 4.2 (V8) in my country. I wonder if anyone has idea the actual difference? It seems the price for 3.0T is a little higher than the 4.2, but I thought 4.2 has higher original price, is it sound normal?

The 2011 came with a 4.2 and the W12 engine options in the US. For non-US spec, I think the 3.0 was a TDI offering, so its not the 3.0T you mention here that was in US spec cars from 2013+

Hey, here in India 4.2fsi does go cheaper comparing to 3.0 Tdi mainly because the Milage/ Litre in 4.2 is way lower than the Tdi.
I had an option of the two and I preferred the 4.2 Fsi (2011 L version) as the engine and performance is superb and also had most of the options, recommend you to have the car checked up with Audi before the purchase.
