Default 2012 Order Guides Are Out...No change to 4.2 V8 engine at this time.

Looks like they're sticking with the 372-hp 4.2 litre V8 for now. No word yet on S8.

Do you know if the 2012 offer a heads up display option? Anything else new besides Audi Connect?

No heads-up display on A8 or A8L. Added a couple of extended leather packages that include alcantara headliner. There's also an Audi Design Package featuring Balao Brown Interior with Snow White headliner, special wood and brushed aluminum trim---requires a number of other option packages, and is likely quite expensive.

I heard a similar story from my dealer, although officially, the european guide is still showing as "tbc".

Love the Baolo Brown interior option, but I would want to order the sport pkg on the NWB model. Perhaps you could special order w/o sport seats, but with the larger alloys, Sports Rear Diff. etc. Also, if you wanted the driver assistance pkg, is there any way to keep the 3 spoke wheel? I much prefer that over the 4 spoke wheel.

Guys, thanks for the info. Coincidentally, I was at my dealer today and of course they were clueless, and they bill themselves as the largest Audi dealer by volume in the U.S. Everyone on this forum is infinitely more qualified to sell Audis then the (almost quite literally) monkies down here in Miami. Eh, what can I expect in the swamp...

The current engine is still fantastic, so nothing to cry about there.

Tough to deviate from Audi's specified packages, but you can push the dealer to ask---I wouldn't, however, hold out too much hope.

Certainly not :^) They announced at the NY Auto Show that by 2013 the U.S. spec A8 will be available with a choice of turbo diesel engines.
