Smile Audi S8 2015 new owner with few issues

Hi

I just wanted to share few things that has happened during my 2 months of owning a pearl black Audi S8 2015
First thing that i had to do, was to remove the back head rests as our kids safety seats didn't fit perfectly LOL. (4 hrs at dealers
I have attached a photo to show how much the view from back window has improved.
Then I found out a squeaky noise from the front suspension and Audi changed lower and top arm bushes, but i still find it quite noisy over speed bumps. Perhaps there is still something going on..
Also i had to drive over a exploded truck wheel on Dubai highway, this incident gave me a Active Cruise Control error and slight scratch on the front bumper. I found out that the front right sensor was out of place and i pushed i gently back in its position.. CLACK! sorted... no error and no issues with the system.
Now, reading the post about 3000rpm vibration issue... haha there it was.. Will need to get that sorted out in next service in 30 days.. Previous owner has activated one new key fob and maybe this is causing the issue as stated on the Bulletin.. we will see...
Finally!, does anybody know why the redline is in 7000 in the attached photo?? Normally it is 5400 when cold engine and 6400 when warm... i found this quite strange as what i understood, only Audi S8 plus has higher redline... You can actually see out !

7000 RPM

Any thoughts??

Anyways thanks to you all for sharing such important information on this forum !!

The noise over bumps is probably the sway bar drop links. Mine makes it when it’s cold and I haven’t gotten around to having fixed yet.

Thanks

I think it's same issue, it is more evident when cold.

hey, welcome aboard and great ride. Everytime is see the B&O speaker grills i feel left out with my audi standard system (with fake speaker grills).

With regards to the red line, do you know if the car was ever tuned?

Hey Silver!
I doubt any mods are done to this car. Maybe it was just a glitch while driving in Efficiency Mode
Regarding the B&O system, it has very clear and balanced sound, and it's more than enough for me. I'm not a Hi-Fi geek but I do enjoy quality sound from CD's
What i like in this car, is that I can drive fast without my wife even noticing hehe
Thanks

Dont feel bad about not having the B&O sound system, it’s not very good. The fancy metal grills might be the dumbest piece of audio engineering ever, they have tiny pinholes that block much of the sound and remove transients and inner detail. Ever notice how ALL high end speaker systems have NO grill covers? So don’t fret, your not missing anything, your Bose system, with some adjusting, probably sounds better. Regards. Ned.

Seeing the children in the back seat of the S8 made me think of the Boney M song ........

Daddy ..... Daddy Cool! Daddy .... Daddy Cool!
