Am I able to use a universal 3 wire O2 sensor?? Or do i have to spend $150 on a Bosch unit?

Universals are fine
There are only two technologies used and the older ones differentiate themselves by whether the sensor preheats or just measures voltage (ie why older 4Ks have a one wire sensor and the 4KQs have 3 wire). Some universal kits come with slip on heat shrink tubing and crimp connectors. Just remember to slide the tubing on before you crimp.

universal bosch been causing problems
their universal unit sucks, heater wires can cause running over rich. also not entirely accurate.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autohausaz.com/catalog/lookup_parts.cfm?SubcategoryID=5132&VehicleID= 1366770&CFID=536856&CFToken=44458351">http ://www.autohausaz.com/catalog/lookup_parts.cfm?SubcategoryID=5132&VehicleID= 1366770&CFID=53

I've used them for years, both on CIS-E cars and my V8>>
with the CIS-E cars, you have to adjust the mixture ANY time you put in a new O2 sensor.
Besides, the 13913 is not "universal" -- it's made for some car. One has to clip the round connector off and splice the wiring.
