Default Picked this up from GT Style's thread

On the Type 44 FAQ. (http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/9715/faq.html) It says "1991 is the end of production of 44-chassis cars in Germany. They are still in production under licence in China." Does anyone know if this is true. Does this mean a Type 44 with very milage can bbought in China???

Looks like VAG sold patents and factory equipment to China. Look here:

<a href="http://www.faw.com/product/product.jsp?FileName=Redms_tedian&left=jc">Officia l FAW site|Hongqi 2004 Edition Luxury Sedan</a>

<a href="http://www.faw.com/product/product.jsp?FileName=Redsjx_tedian&left=jc">More about FAW</a>

So it's not original 44, but chineese version has different interiour (IMHO more like any japaneese car) and different engine: could be Nissan V6 or VAG V6 engine.<ul><li><a href="http://sites.internet.lu/folders/paulfern/FAW-story.htm">info about FAW</a></li></ul>

In this era of diversity, your statement is perfectly acceptable.

Default Their styling studio desperately needs a reorg...........

like everyone gets a pink slip, because our past and present design work stinks.

Comrads............All future styling will be out sourced. Hmmmmmmmmmm....an Italian design studio will be a good starting point.
