In my experience with a loaner e-tron, all I had to do was pull back on the shift lever while in drive (even if in Efficiency) to change the D to S. At that point, the Boost part of the power curve became available, and the car got very peppy from being in Sport mode. If I then pressed down fully on the accelerator, the car took off like a flash. When I tried it, I was on an empty freeway and went from 55 mph to 95 mph in the blink of an eye. Very impressive.

In my personal e-tron, Boost has never been available in any mode. if I go into S mode, the car gets peppier, but the Boost part of the curve remains grayed out, and the accelerator can’t make the vehicle take off like that loaner car did. Mine goes back to the Service department today. With any luck, they’ll be able to figure everything out. Hope your vehicle doesn’t suffer from the same bug.

Dealerships seem to be populated with a very few people who have and idea of what is going on, along with a whole lot of people who have no clue but don't want to admit it.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I live in the Houston area, and I’m currently using Audi North (Sewell). Does anyone know if one of the Houston dealerships has a (good) e-tron technician?

Of all things, it sounds like you have a 50 instead of a 55.

I took it in to the dealer, and they found a couple of error codes and did a software update. Got the car back today, and boost function still isn’t available, and the car is sucking through electricity just as bad as before. Interestingly, when I was in the e-tron loaner the dealer gave me, it had a working boost function, and 100% charge yielded well over 200 miles. Typically, between 214 and 225. I think that something is wrong with my vehicle, but I don’t know enough to tell my service advisor. He seems nice and willing to help, so I was hoping that someone might be able to share their experiences for getting their boot/range issue fixed. I appreciate any help,

what you explained sounds pretty much like what I experienced a few months ago and it ended being faulty battery control module.

This is the thread I created back then.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I read through that thread, and I see some similarities between your vehicle and mine. I haven’t done any tests as official as yours, but I have been watching the SOC, rather than the GOM. For the most part, almost regardless of how I drive, 1 mile covered costs 1% of my charge, sometimes a little bit more. For example, my office is 35 miles from home, which involves mostly freeway travel. Making that drive will consume around 40 to 42% of the battery. At first, I thought maybe I was just driving in a very inefficient manner, but I’m not really. I keep the car in efficiency mode, use cruise control, and use the shifting paddles to brake as much as possible. When I was in the loaner e-tron for a week, I drove that vehicle the same way – actually, probably a little more aggressively. Making the same 35 mile trip to work drained significantly less percentage points from the battery, and a full charge always showed my range well above 200 miles. And, of course, that car had an accessible boost feature. I’m hoping that the fix for my car will be relatively painless. I purchased it CPO with only 300 miles on it, and I’m beginning to wonder if the dealership that sold it didn’t know about this problem. That’s really neither here nor there; I would just like to be back in a fully functioning e-tron. I really like the vehicle, and with a properly functioning battery, I think I would feel much more comfortable driving it.

for the office commute what kind of consumption the car reports? In miles/kwh or wh/mile? - can be found under short term memory.
also what’s the consumption total of the car? You can find it under long term memory.

Consumption seems to vary (even across similar drives under similar conditions), but the average for my trips is 39.5 kWh/100 miles. I’ve done 2,200 miles so far with the average trip being around 35 miles.

I took it back to the service dept. yesterday. Today, they called and said that I have a bad battery cell. They also noted that when they drove the car into the garage, the driver display was completely black (something I’ve not experienced). The good news is that my dealership has e-tron technicians who have done this sort of work. The bad news is that my technician is assigned two vehicles ahead of mine with bad cells (all MY 2021), so the estimated work time for my repair is 4 weeks. At least they found the issue. Hopefully the fix will go as expected, and I won’t have more bed cells down the line. *fingers crossed*

Unfortunate that there is a problem. However, great that your dealer has EV techs and that they have diagnosed the problem.

Several of us have had to deal with this and it seems like once fixed, the vehicle is back to normal.

The only real concern will be "having to slum it out in a Q3" or equivalent loaner while they're working on your vehicle

Best of luck!

I had that issue with my MY2021. Ironically, it happened as I was driving to the dealer for my plates. The virtual cockpit flashed green, then went blank and stayed that way. Apparently, there was a TSB for it, and it was fixed via software. So far, so good.

That said, I'm having to bring it back, as I'm having an issue with the remote climate. When activating it, it starts okay, but sometimes turns back off about a minute later. Hopefully it is another simple software fix...
