Default The passenger side airbag is still functional in my 94 S4
I am concerned about the safety of my passengers.

sitting close is actually dangerous as the airbag actually hits you as opposed to you hitting the fully inflated bag. All drivers should have at least 12 inches b/n their chest and the wheel.
