Inside the post you will find some photos and an actual video of the lights in action on an RSQ8. As far as legality they have not been approved by the NTSB to have a dealer encode, but there is no reason IMHO why they haven't. It is actually safer than without them encoded. You will need Matrix headligths, a Windows laptop and an ODIS for this feature to be encoded.
Thank you! I already traded text with him. I appreciate your help.

Do they do all the pictures and text at the upon turning on? Do they have the bight lane feature when on a highway?
Nope. Only the latest generation of matrix headlights in the e-tron and the e-tron GT have these functions.

Can you remove the rev limiter? I think I saw a reference to one of the obdii letting you lower the air suspension. Anyone know which one?

is it possible this is just not available on the Q8?
Try security access code 31347.

I finally got this activated. Never realized where you needed to enter the security access code so once I found that and entered 20103 it finally activated those settings in adaptations. I set it at 100 for day which appears to be the minimum and 1600 for dawn which appears to be the max.

We’ll see how much longer they stay on now...

As I remember, "down" is the value of lux to turn on the low beam in the dark so if you want to delay it it should be lowered and "day" is the value of lux to turn off the lights so if you want to have it earlier this value should be increased.

This thread was started in 2018 and some of the references are out of date. For someone wanting to do this in 2021, which OBDEleven controller is recommended? (For an RSQ8 if that matters). Thanks!

I have OBDeleven Pro, That’s probably your best bet. Some of the adaptations work, some don’t. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR TIME AND BACK UP EACH CONTROLLER. To do that, you need to visit each controller and select “Backup”. It will take a while to do all of them, but it will save you a costly trip to the dealer.

I also have OBDApp to lower the RSQ8. Aside from this adaptation, OBDeleven is very superior as it allows you to do everything yourself via adaptations or coding and you there’s also “Apps” you can purchase that are one touch adaptations/codings.
