Default doesn't sound too bad.

I got lucky tho. The cop was reasonable.
They could've had me far worse. Good thing there were no other cars around me (I'm assuming that if another car was next to me at the light, it could've been interpreted as 'street racing').

Default I have three of those on my record :)

Last one was when I was 18 but still.

You should go down to the cop station and show your ins card to the officer, see if he will drop your failure to show insurance ticket. They often will. The unnecessary noise ticket will affect insurance too, and should be fought if possible. I imagine it's a hard one to prove in court, since it's not an absolute liability offence. Having both tickets appear on your insurance record could cost you a lot of money, as hythrax pointed out.

I've never fought one myself, in two of my three cases the ticket started out as careless and was pleabargained to unnecessary noise so I wasn't going to push it

Default You know, they probably could have gotten you for street racing. One of the

"no-no's" IIRC was things like fishtailing. If you had a wiggle due to the dump (read that to yourself a few time), maybe you're lucky to get away with only excessive noise.

BTW, I'm jealous that you can do that with your clutch.

Just bring them to me. I'll just call the JP on your behalf.

Default That's the thing, I'm thankful that I got off easy.

Aftermarket clutch is nice. I can dump it at 6K on the upswing and it just launches w/o any drama or strange smells ;-)
