In some of my posts where I dump an enormous number of thumbnails, the post page right after hitting submit shows all the thumbnails as sent which is fine. However, once the post is clicked on in the forums, some amount of thumbnails disappear. If I check the page source I see that when a database query was made, whatever was returned was truncated. What I am assuming is that on the post-submit page you are just displaying the data from the "message" box without doing a database query (I could be wrong). AW hands this better than another place that uses this software. On that forum if the thumnails are truncated, then it renders the edit/delete functions completely inoperable.

Next problem is also related to this. If I post a normal amount of thumbnails that can be seen on the post-submit page and can be seen normally via a link from the forum, there are still some posts that get truncated if I hit "edit." What's more is that if I don't actually edit the page and browse away from it and reclick the post from the forum, all of a sudden the post is actually in an edited state where it is now truncated where it wasn't before.

I think all of these issues are on post length. Maybe a possible solution to this is trapping posts longer than a certain character length and forcing the poster to fix the post. Another option is to force the forum software to close any open HTML tags and then post the message anyway. Anyway, get in touch with me and I can try to show you this via example if you can't recreate it yourself.

AFAIK, there is no limit to the size of messages (maybe incorrectly so)
