Roger, you may still be right about the fuel pump: Craven's checked the alternator & starter and
they said those are fine. They replaced the battery but that didn't solve the problem, though they said the old battery wasn't working properly either. I'm not sure if I believe them about the old battery...

Well, obviously. By chance, I had to buy something at RadioShack and parked it in front of Craven's.
If your techs would work on my car, I would've pushed it across the street!
