Default Is anyone here good with electronics/resistance etc.

i want to try by passing the passanger occupancy "feature" in my b7 a4. I have b6 s4 seats WITHOUT the occupancy. I need someone to help me figure out how to determine the voltage/resistance and put together a proper harness that will work.

willing to pay.

Can't you just unplug the bulb ? Seems safer than messing with the circuitry and less $$

You can't retrofit the sensor?

a place to mount it, and hope all the parts came with the repair kit from audi.

Default ok then, maybe this will help

B6\B7 Passenger Seat Connectors:
2 = Seatbelt Sensor (Black)
3 = Heated Seat (Green)
4 = Voltage Supply (Red)
5 = Airbag (Orange)

Should be pretty simple, find where the Black (Seatbelt) wire goes under the seat and jump out the switch or tyewrap it so it thinks there is a butt sitting there all the time.

Default is not that simple

<center><img src="http://www.tabamoura.com/fotos2/seat4.jpg"></center><p>
these are the colors for the connectors and not the wires., each conenctor has a bunch of wires you gotta look at the schematics for the elctric connectors to figure it out , if you can post the electrical for the seats , I can tell you what to do/jump. this is a passat B5 seat so you have an idea of how complex its down there ( specially if the seats are powered)

Default why not ?, con 2(seat sensor) is identified in pic, I bet it goes to ground when you sit in the seat

Just put a meter on the connector and watch it's state when you sit down.
It's just 1 wire so there can't be much going on here.
If I am right then a simple jumper is all thats needed.
You could even just use a small toggle switch.
If the connector is reachable I wouldn't even pull the seat for this one.
Option 2 (if I am wrong)
Buy a new seat sensor from the dealer ($20.00 my guess), jump IT out or tape it up, and just plug it into the connector.
That way your seat remains intact and easily returned to stock.

If it was the airbag light then a 4.7ohm 1/4 watt resistor is what you would need.

I guess it can't it just be Vag'd out or you would have done that already.

Default there are 3 or 4 wires for the passanger occupancy.

i have tried vag'n it out. but sebastian at ross-tech is going to take a look.
Its not a one wire jumper to fake it. all 4 resistances have to be tested and then jumped appropriately (PITA).
