Default CV joint replacement question .. did a STFA

What can I expect to pay for a new cv joint? Left front is starting to whine loudly and it clicks a bit at very low speeds with the wheel to the right.
Gonna call Shine later ...

IIRC, they will run roughly $150 or so.

I think that is for CV boots...not sure how expensive CV joints will cost.

Default If you DIY, check out raxles.com

I would guess $4-500 for Shine to do it.

Default 2nd...I've got 2 raxles fronts on my car

They were around $150 per side (one axle with CV joints on both ends) once the core was returned. I do them myself.

figure $300 at least, since you'll need to replace the joint

Default lol wow $500 for a axle replacement. just buy raxles and DIY, took me 10 mins per axle

the trick is to jack up the hub and turn the wheel all the way to one side ... this way u dont need to deal with the pinch bolt and all that suspension work (alignment)
