I have read that AUDI is giving 20% off MSRP on unsold 2015s. A dealer verified that to me. I have not seen any 2016s but I guess there are a few that came in before the stop sale. If you can find one, a low mileage used one that has had the fix is an even better deal. Those unsold 2015s will be 3 year old used cars the day after you buy one.

That's what I was going to add to my last post. Thank you!

Our compu-mileage is down 2 but we are also on winter diesel brew now too.

The most complete and up to date discussion of dieselgate:

https://www.propublica.org/article/h...d-got-off-easy

Over the past two years, prosecutors in the U.S. and Germany have been tracing who was aware of the scheme and have identified more than 40 people involved, spread out across at least four cities and working for three VW brands as well as automotive technology supplier Robert Bosch. In a new, potentially explosive move, some U.S. prosecutors are pushing to indict Volkswagen’s former CEO. Such a step would be largely symbolic — the U.S. has no power to extradite them — but it would send a message that the misconduct was egregious and directed from the top.

^^That’s quite a “hot take”, Harvey. Would you care to use critical reasoning, instead of name calling, to explain why you came to that conclusion?

No explanation is necessary. You understand exactly what I meant and why.

No, I sincerely dont understand. But you certainly leave an impression of having not read the article. If I am right, when did we, as a society, get to the place when we decided, before we started reading, that we would no longer allow ourselves to be exposed to evidence if we would not agree with its conclusion?

Just picked up my car post-AEM. They printed off an updated fuel economy statement for the window sticker- 30hwy. Wasn’t that what the car was originally rated at?

Does anyone have a link that explains in detail what the fix actually entailed, and the reasoning behind each modification? I'm just curious, and I could have sworn I saw one on this thread, but I couldn't find it anywhere
