I am trying to retrofit the Audi Phone box for 2017 Q7. Somehow this is an option in Europe but not in N-A, go figure. So I am looking to buy parts and retrofit the phone box in the centre arm rest. Anyone have an idea about the part numbers?

I'll be following this as I was very disappointed Audi didn't include this in our version.

Needless to say, my next purchase will more closely scrutinize the features not available to NA buyers!

You may like some of the features in Europe, but you won't like how much they pay for vehicles.

This is not a simple topic.

From a customer's point of vue is I still spent $100K to get my new Q7 and it has less trim and options than if bought it Germany.

A fully loaded Q7 in Germany goes for about 96K euros. How much would it be reasonable to pay in N-A? $145K? Not sure it would sell here at that price. So cost is the only controlling factor and they haven't been focused on that for the N-A market.

Audi needs to expand its production capabilities into N-A if it is serious about our market so that we are not affected by foreign exchange fluctuations and higher productions costs in Europe. Seems at this moment the only option is to cannibalize the vehicle of options so to gain on margin.

They expanded into Mexico but so far only the Q5 is produced there. They need add the A3, A4, A5, A6 and Q7 to that assembly line and maintain like for like trim and option levels.
