We have the carlinkit3.0 in my wife's 2019 Q7. The unit is plugged into a USB port in the center console and she keeps her phone in her purse and all the CarPlay functions work just like the phone is plugged in through the Lightning port.

Can you explain how this is done? I have one of these and my wife has to pull out her phone and "wake it up" before it will connect to the Carlink unit. Once she does that it works fine but she really doesn't want to have to fish it out as it is usually buried in there.

I had iPhone 13 Pro and it connected wirelessly to Carplay sometimes. I now have 13 Pro Max and it will not connect to the car via Bluetooth at all no matter what I’ve tried. I’ve deleted old phones, forget device, forget car, reset phone/bluetooth/mmi literally everything. Nothing works. It does work sometimes with a usb cable. Anyone else having issues w 13 pro or pro max?
