S6 Hood Not Opening

S6 Hood Not Opening
So yesterday I tore off my rear brakes on the 95 S6, floating guide pins were frozen on both sides, lucky I had a set of calipers and carriers from the donor car for my UrQ I'm building...needed them!
Forgot a couple key items while doing the brakes, when you rotate and press the caliper back it pushes out the other side and it's always a good idea to take out some of the Hyd fluid from the res. When you don't this on a daily basis you always seem to forget a couple of things!
So while the car's all jacked up, I couldn't open the hood. Now I finally get the the hood open with some screwing around, and now after multiple bleeding sessions and test drives. the hood latch won't reopen!
Where do I start to get the hood open?
I'm such an idiot!

Re: hood not opening...
Finally got into it with a really long screwdriver pushed on the latch in the front support on the passenger side latch (while someone else held the hood release inside the car) and the hood popped up and the plastic release comes out of the grille on the hood.
There are two small plastic sleeves that change the direction ever so slightly, on the release cable, one of them had popped off the back side of the front support. It had come off the first time I jimmed the hood release. The plastic tabs were worn out so wouldn't stay in. I redid it with a zip tie untill I can find a replacement plastic sleeve.
