Besides going to a shop, anyone good at replacing CV's, for beer and lunch?
Looks like I need to replace the outer on the right front for certain, possibly the left front also. Will have to wait until next month to do it, but if anyoen knows how and is willing to help me for lunch and beer I would appreciate it.

I just replaced a boot on mine this weekend. Was a total bish.
Make sure you have all the tools. My B5 S4 needed 10mm triple point star, and a 17mm allen socket. Did you buy a new CV yet? CarQuest had the whole half-shaft assembly from inner CV to outer CV, with new boots, all rebuilt for $80. I went with the $15 boot kit from Advance Auto Parts. The big clip was a little too small, but I made it work.

McD quoted me $280 to replace just the outer boot, wife's nephew used to work at Slipstream.........
when I'm ready to do it, he said he will help. Hoping to find someone with a little more knowledge
