Default They would really need a whole different platform for it to be any different,

There's just no way you are going to get close to 50/50 weight distribution when you hang a big V8 beyond the front wheels (short of putting large blocks of iron in the trunk). BMW makes a great deal of effort to achieve 50/50 weight distribution. The engine is *far* back in the engine compartment, the transmission is in the rear of the car, the battery is in the trunk. They make platform design decisions in order to maximize weight distribution. Something audi just hasn't done that much of with its cars.

Default Ok, first person to get an S4 is going to buy 4 scales, and weight the friggin car on level ground.

Default not with a huge 4.2 in FRONT of the front wheels.

Did you people really think Audi would get anywhere close to 50/50?
