Default Just ordered and now the waiting starts

Just ordered a 2014 S4 prem plus with brilliant black ext and black/red nappa interior. Options I also ordered we're sport diff, mmi, b&o sound , 19" wheels, carbon inlays and supercharged badges.

Hoping when the car arrives we are done with snow in the St Paul, MN area so I don't have to worry about the summer tires. Basically it would be nice to delay the inevitable snow rolling stock until the fall.

Really had a hard time not going with the estoril blue as it looked great on the showroom floor but too many stories of swirling for my liking. With 2 young kids the time available for hand washing every time is just no longer reality.

Delivery should be near the end of March. Forgot to mention the car is a 6MT. I have driven 3 pedal cars since high school and it is hard for me to drive much else and still have a large fun factor.

Oh, I hear 'ya about driving a manual. I've always had a manual since I learned to drive.

By the way, is it just me, or did you also find it hard to shift the S4 from 1st to 2nd? In my test drives, I seem to always get "stuck" shifting from 1st to 2nd. It could be that my seat wasn't adjusted close enough such that my left foot doesn't reach the "clutch point" for a smooth shift.

I've had 2 B8s with stick and have no issue shifting 1/2. Others have reported this issue. Perhaps it takes a little time to wear in. B6 S4s did have this issue. Solution was instead of pulling the shift lever straight back, pull it back with pressure to the left side of the shifter gate, You might try that. Most likely , your new car will not have that issue.

I didn't notice any issues with the 1 to 2 shift. But my current VW Passat with manual has been notchy on the 1-2 shift for most of its 132k life so maybe I am just so used to it I didn't notice it on the test drive.

Sounds like the quintessential S4. BUT, do you really want to spend $135 for BADGES. You can get the exact same from ECS for about $40. Template available to download. Should take you no more than 10-15 minutes to remove the V6T badges and put on the new SC badges.

Sweet, just ordered mine in the infamous Estoril Blue and Black/Chestnut Brown and the all other options included, including Black Optic. Also hoping for delivery just after the last snow goes.
